Chapter 3

It was Sofi's wedding day, and her sister Ella was busy helping her get ready. The room was filled with a mixture of excitement, nerves, and love as Ella carefully adjusted Sofi’s makeup.

"Do you think I’m looking good?" Sofi asked, glancing at her reflection in the mirror, her voice tinged with worry.

"You’re looking more than beautiful," Ella assured her with a warm smile, brushing a strand of Sofi's hair aside.

"I told you to keep the makeup light. Dark colors don’t suit me," Sofi complained, inspecting her face closely.

"Sofi, where do you see anything dark? You didn’t even let me apply much, and now you’re still saying it’s too much," Ella teased, rolling her eyes.

"Hmm, look at this lipstick! It’s still so dark," Sofi argued, pointing to her lips.

"Sofi, this is the bare minimum I used!" Ella said, exasperated.

"But it’s still too much. Kian doesn’t like dark colors," Sofi admitted, her voice softening.

Ella raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh, so all this drama is about Kian’s preferences?"

"Of course! What else?" Sofi replied with a faint blush. "Now, remove it a little," she insisted.

"My lovely sister, it’s not dark. Just let it be," Ella said, trying to reason with her.

"I’ll do it myself," Sofi muttered, reaching for a tissue.

"Stop, Sofi! Wait until I finish your hair, then I’ll fix it," Ella said, stopping her mid-action.

"Okay," Sofi agreed, sitting back with a huff.

"Sofi, stay still!" Ella warned as she worked on her hair.

"I am still. It’s your hand that’s shaking," Sofi teased, watching her through the mirror.

Ella didn’t respond, avoiding Sofi’s gaze.

"Did you take your medicine?" Sofi asked, her tone turning concerned.

Before Ella could reply, Lucifer entered the room, carrying a plate of food in his hands. "No, she didn’t," he answered for her. "She hasn’t even eaten anything since morning," he added, looking at Ella disapprovingly.

Ella sighed. "I thought I’d finish getting Sofi ready first and then eat."

"That’s no excuse," Sofi chimed in, crossing her arms.

"Exactly," Lucifer agreed firmly. He placed the plate down and grabbed Ella’s hand, gently pulling her to sit on the nearby couch. "Come sit," he said, his tone soft but commanding.

"Lucifer, I’ll eat later. Sofi will get late at this rate," Ella protested.

"No, Ella. You eat first. I can wait," Sofi said with a small smile.

"Sofi, look at the time. Everyone’s already waiting outside," Ella argued. "Let me finish making you ready first."

Lucifer shook his head. "Why is it taking so long to make this doll ready? It’s not like she even needs makeup," he said, glancing at Sofi with a teasing grin.

Sofi laughed lightly. "I don’t, but apparently, there’s more to do, and I keep asking her to fix things."

"Exactly," Ella said. "Her hair still needs to be done, and she keeps complaining about the makeup being too much."

Lucifer sighed, shaking his head. "That’s why I’m saying, eat first. Then take all the time you want."

Ella hesitated but finally gave in as Lucifer gently pushed her back into the seat. "Sit now," he said, his voice leaving no room for argument.

"Fine, but let me wash my hands first," Ella said, trying to get up.

Lucifer held her down. "What am I here for? Sit. I’ll take care of it," he said, grabbing a spoonful of food.

"Lucifer, I can eat myself," Ella said softly.

"Why? Don’t you like me feeding you?" he teased, his tone playful.

"It’s not that," she mumbled, avoiding his gaze.

"Then eat," he said, bringing the spoon to her lips.

Ella hesitated for a moment before taking a bite.

"How is it?" Lucifer asked, watching her intently.

"Whatever you make is perfect," she said, a small smile gracing her lips.

Sofi smirked from her seat. "Whoa!" she teased, enjoying the sweet interaction.

"But why did you make it? You could’ve asked someone else. You’re busy too," Ella said, looking at him with concern.

"Not too busy to take care of my wife," Lucifer replied with a proud smile.

Ella couldn’t help but blush, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"What lovebirds!" Sofi exclaimed, watching them with a playful grin.

Lucifer finished feeding Ella and stood up, brushing his hands off. "Now you two can take all the time you need." He turned to Sofi, smiling. "Doll, you look stunning."

"Isn’t the makeup too much?" Sofi asked, pointing to her face.

"No, doll. It’s perfect," he assured her.

As they heard someone call Lucifer from outside, he turned back to Ella. "I have to go now, but I’m leaving Ella’s medicine with you, Sofi. Make sure she takes it in ten minutes," he instructed.

"Okay," Sofi said, taking the medicine from him.

Lucifer leaned down and kissed Ella’s forehead gently. "See you later, love," he said with a warm smile before walking out.

Ella shook her head, a soft smile lingering on her lips as she blushed.

Sofi pretended to clear her throat, breaking Ella’s trance. "If you’re done blushing, shall we get back to work?" she teased with a smirk.

Ella blinked, snapping out of her thoughts. "Oh, I almost forgot," she said, hurriedly picking up where she left off.

"Yeah, yeah, your handsome husband makes you forget everything," Sofi teased further, laughing softly.

"Stop teasing me, Sofi," Ella said, playfully swatting Sofi’s head with a smile.

As Ella resumed working on Sofi’s hair, Sofi couldn’t help but feel a wave of joy for her sister. She kept stealing glances at Ella, her heart swelling with affection.

"What?" Ella asked, noticing Sofi’s gaze through the mirror.

"I’m just so happy for you, Ella. You have such a caring and loving husband," Sofi said sincerely, her eyes glistening with emotion.

Ella paused for a moment, her lips curving into a soft smile. "I agree with that," she said quietly, her voice filled with gratitude.

Sofi sighed dreamily. "I wish Kian love me in the same way " she said, her tone carrying a hint of longing.

Ella reached out and squeezed Sofi’s shoulder gently. "He will, Sofi," she reassured her with a smile.

"You think so?" Sofi asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I know so," Ella said confidently. "Kian loves you, Sofi , more than anyone . Every love story is different, and yours will be just as beautiful."

Sofi smiled, her heart warming at her sister’s words. "Thanks, Ella."

Ella nodded. "Now stop and  focus on looking like the most stunning bride ever," she said, adjusting Sofi’s hair with a flourish.

Sofi laughed. "I have no choice with you in charge, do I?"

"Absolutely not," Ella replied with a wink, both of them sharing a lighthearted laugh as the wedding preparations continued.

........

He stood silently outside the room, listening intently to Ella and Sofi’s conversation. A faint smile played on his lips as he heard their banter.

You don’t need anyone’s love, doll. My love is more than enough for you he peeked into the room to catch a glimpse of Sofi’s reflection in the mirror.

His eyes lingered on her, admiration evident in his gaze. And don’t even think about settling for anything less than what you deserve. The love I will give you will be  real and pure—you deserve nothing but the best, gosh, how beautiful my doll is looking... only if you were becoming my bride today, he added with a wistful sigh, his heart swelling with unspoken emotions.

Just as he was lost in his thoughts, someone called out to him from the hallway.

These people are so annoying,he grumbled under his breath, frustration flickering across his face. They don’t even let me admire my doll in peace.

The voice called out again, more insistent this time.

He sighed heavily, glancing back toward the room one last time. See you later, doll a soft smile tugging at his lips.

Before leaving, he placed his hand over his heart as if to promise her something unsaid, then turned and walked away, his thoughts still lingering on her.

........

"How pretty my sister is looking," Ella said, adjusting the delicate veil on Sofi's head with a fond smile.

"I agree," Sofi said, grinning at her reflection in the mirror.

"Alright, you sit here. I should go out and check if everything is ready," Ella said

"Will you be okay alone, or should I send someone to stay with you?" Ella asked, concern lacing her voice.

"I’m fine, Ella. Don’t worry," Sofi reassured her.

"Okay, but I’ll be right back," Ella said, giving her a quick pat on the shoulder.

"Sure," Sofi replied, watching as Ella exited the room.

As soon as the door closed, Sofi's phone vibrated on the table. She picked it up, and a smile instantly spread across her face when she saw the caller ID.

"Ready, my love, to become mine forever?" Kian’s deep voice came through, brimming with excitement.

"Always ready," Sofi replied, her tone playful yet tender.

"Come quickly. I can’t wait to get married to you," he said, the impatience evident in his voice.

"Have patience, boy," Sofi teased, chuckling softly.

"I’m running out of it now," Kian said with a mock groan. "Send me your picture. I need something to get me through the wait."

"Picture for what?" she asked, pretending not to understand.

"So I can manage with it until you come to me," he explained, his tone turning softer.

"Why don’t I just send a picture and not come at all? Then you can manage with the picture for your whole life," she joked, a mischievous smile on her lips.

There was a long silence on the other end of the call.

"Kian? Hello? Are you there?" Sofi asked, her smile fading.

"It wasn’t funny, Sofi," he said, his voice cold and distant, and then he abruptly hung up.

Sofi stared at her phone in confusion. "What happened to him now?" she muttered, dialing his number again.

The call went to voicemail. "Leave a message," the automated voice instructed.

"Kian, are you angry? Come on, I was just joking! You can’t be serious," she said, her voice tinged with worry as she sent the voice message.

She sighed, staring at her phone. "What was in that to make him angry?" she murmured, still puzzled.

.......

As Sofi sat there, trying to make sense of Kian’s reaction, a sudden chill ran down her spine. She felt a presence behind her. Before she could turn around, a cloth was pressed against her nose and mouth. Her eyes widened in shock as she struggled to resist, her body twisting in an attempt to break free.

She managed to glance up at the mirror in front of her, her vision starting to blur. She tried to make out the face of the person behind her, but her strength was fading fast.

"Kian..." she whispered weakly, her voice barely audible as her body went limp.

The person caught her before she could collapse, holding her securely. He removed the cloth from her face, watching as her consciousness slipped away completely.

The room fell silent, the veil slipping from Sofi’s head and floating gently to the floor, a stark contrast to the unsettling stillness that now filled the air.

........

Ella was busy entertaining the guests when her eyes caught Kian standing in a corner, his expression unusually serious. Concerned, she approached him.

"Kian, what happened?" she asked, touching his arm gently.

"Sofi is so ignorant of my feelings," he replied, his voice tinged with frustration.

"Why are you saying that?" Ella asked, her brows furrowing.

"Forget it," he muttered, shaking his head.

"Did she say something?" Ella pressed, sensing there was more to his mood.

"Nothing... it's just..." he hesitated, then sighed. "I don’t like it when she jokes about staying away from me."

"What? Why would she say that?" Ella asked.

"I called her earlier and asked her to send me a picture so I could manage  until she came. But she said, ‘Why not just manage with the picture for your whole life?’ Can you believe that? Is that something to say?" His voice was filled with disbelief and a hint of hurt.

Ella couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Kian, I thought something serious had happened. You’re too much," she teased, shaking her head.

"I’m serious," he insisted, his tone firm.

"Alright, alright," Ella said, holding back another laugh. "I’ll talk to her and tell her not to joke like that again."

"When is she coming?" Kian asked impatiently, glancing toward the door.

"Wait, my boy. She’ll be here, but there’s still some time left," Ella said with a reassuring smile.

"Just bring her soon," Kian said, his restlessness evident.

---

While Kian was eagerly waiting for Sofi, she was already in someone else’s grip.

The house was eerily quiet, with everyone outside. After making her unconscious, he picked Sofi up in his arms. Her limp body rested against his chest, her head lolling onto his shoulder as he carried her carefully.

He smiled down at her as if she were a precious treasure. He walked through the silent halls, cradling her protectively, and entered a different room. Gently, he laid her on the bed.

Locking the door behind him, he turned and walked back to her, his eyes dark with an unsettling mix of obsession and admiration.

I thought it’d be better to take you somewhere else  his gaze fixed on her peaceful face. It could’ve been risky there. I didn’t want anyone to disturb us.

He leaned closer to her, his fingers lightly tracing her cheek. Look at how beautiful my doll is looking  his voice dripping with adoration. This white color perfectly compliments you.

He sighed, his lips curling into a bittersweet smile. I wish I could marry you today,But... we can wait for that.

His face inched closer, his breath warm against her skin." But I can’t resist any longer," he confessed, his voice trembling with longing. You don’t know how hard it was to pretend to be Ella’s perfect husband. It was torture to take my eyes off you. I just wanted to keep looking at you, to admire you every second. That’s how irresistible you are, Sofi... my doll.

He leaned even closer, his lips just a breath away from her neck. "I can’t control myself. I have to make you mine," he whispered, his voice heavy with obsession. "I’m sorry."

And with that, he pressed his lips to her neck, his touch filled with a disturbing mix of passion and possessiveness, as if trying to claim her for himself.

.......

"Ella, bring Sofi down," her mother called out.

Hearing this, Kian's face lit up instantly, his anticipation written all over his expression.

Ella noticed his reaction and couldn’t help but smile. "Alright, I’ll bring her," she said.

---

She reached Sofi's room, knocking lightly before entering. "Sofi, let’s g—" Ella started to say but paused mid-sentence when her eyes scanned the empty room.

"Sofi?" she called out, her brows furrowing. She walked toward the washroom door and knocked. "Are you in there?"

The door creaked open slightly with no response from inside. Sofi wasn’t there.

Ella frowned, glancing around the room. "Where could this girl have gone?" she muttered, noticing Sofi's phone lying untouched on the bedside table.

She picked it up and looked around again, her worry growing. "She wouldn’t leave without her phone," Ella whispered to herself. She hurried out of the room and began searching the nearby rooms.

"Sofi? Are you here?" she called out, checking each space. But Sofi was nowhere to be found.

........

It had been a while since Ella left to bring Sofi . Her absence didn’t go unnoticed.

"Where has Ella gone?" her mother asked aloud.

"I’ll call her," she said, pulling her phone out of her bag.

Ella answered quickly. "Mom," her voice sounded anxious, "Sofi has disappeared."

Her mother froze, clutching her phone tightly. "What do you mean, disappeared?" she asked, her tone rising.

"I mean, I can’t find her anywhere. I’ve checked her room, the washroom, and all the nearby rooms. She’s not here!" Ella explained, panic evident in her voice.

"I’m coming," her mother said firmly, ending the call.

Her husband, standing beside her, noticed the alarm on her face. "What happened?" he asked, setting his glass of water down.

"Ella says Sofi isn’t in her room," she replied, her voice trembling slightly.

"What? How is that possible? Where would she go?" he asked, standing up immediately.

"I don’t know, but I’m going to check," she said, already moving toward the door.

"I’m coming with you," he said, grabbing his coat as they both hurried inside.

From a distance, Kian noticed Sofi's parents’ worried expressions and the urgency in their movements. Something felt off. Unable to contain his concern, he followed them inside.

---

Ella was pacing the hallway nervously when her parents entered the house.

"Ella, where is Sofi?" her mother asked, her voice sharp with worry.

"I don’t know!" Ella cried. "I left her in the room. I only stepped out for a few minutes."

"Why did you leave her alone?" her father demanded, his tone stern.

"She said she was fine! She doesn’t like too many people around her, so I thought I’d send someone else later or come back myself," Ella explained, her voice cracking.

"And now she’s gone?" her father said, his frustration rising.

"I’ve been looking everywhere for her," Ella said quickly. "Her phone is still in the room. She wouldn’t leave without it."

Her father’s expression darkened. "Find her quickly before anyone notices she’s missing. How could she just disappear?"

"Disappeared?" Kian’s voice interrupted, and they all turned to see him standing at the doorway, his face pale.

"Kian," Ella called, rushing toward him.

"Where is she? How could she disappear?" Kian asked, his voice trembling with a mix of worry and anger.

"She hasn’t disappeared, Kian. She must still be here, maybe in another room. We’re looking for her," Ella tried to reassure him.

But Kian’s jaw clenched. "Is this why she said I should manage with her pictures?" he said, his mind racing with dark thoughts.

"Kian! Stop overthinking," Ella said firmly. "She’s here somewhere. Let’s just look for her."

"She better be," Kian muttered, his voice filled with frustration. "If she’s not, I’ll never forgive her for this."

"Come on," Ella said, pulling him along.

They began their search, their footsteps echoing through the house as the air grew heavier with tension.

.......

He dressed himself  while she remained unconscious

I think that’s enough  he pulled a blanket over her to cover most of her  naked body while leaving the discarded clothes in plain sight—a cruel reminder of what had transpired.

Adjusting his own appearance, he leaned over her again, brushing her hair back tenderly. I’m so lucky to be your first, his eyes fixated on the blood staining the sheets. And I’ll make sure I’m your last too he added with a twisted obsession in his voice.

You’re mine now, all mine  he  pressed a lingering kiss to her forehead.

Just then, a faint voice echoed from outside the room. It was Ella, calling Sofi’s name.

His eyes darkened. "I have to go, my doll. I’m sorry," he whispered, tucking the blanket a bit more securely around her before stepping away.

With one last glance at her unconscious form, he slipped out of the room, shutting the door softly behind him.

........

He reached the hallway, spotting Ella hurrying toward him.

"Lucifer! Where were you?" she asked, her voice sharp with worry.

"What happened? Why are you so tense?" he asked, his expression calm, though his heart raced.

"Sofi’s disappeared! We can’t find her anywhere!" Ella exclaimed.

Lucifer furrowed his brows, feigning confusion. "Disappeared? Where could she go?"

"We’re looking everywhere, but she’s not answering her phone!" Ella said, her voice shaking.

"Calm down," Lucifer said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "She must be here somewhere. Let’s look for her together."

Grabbing Ella’s hand, he led her through the house, pretending to search each room. All the while, his mind raced, calculating his next move.

Just then, he noticed Sofi’s mother heading toward the very room where Sofi was.

"Sorry again, my doll," he muttered under his breath.

.........

"Sofi!" her mother’s panicked voice rang out from the room, shattering the tense silence in the house.

Everyone froze before rushing toward the sound.

When they entered the room, the sight before them stopped them in their tracks.

Sofi lay motionless on the bed, her face pale, her body partially covered by a blanket. The blood on the sheets was stark and haunting, painting a picture of unspeakable violation.

Her father stepped forward but immediately turned away

Ella’s heart broke at the sight, tears streaming down her face. She moved to Sofi’s side, trying to adjust the blanket to cover her properly, her hands shaking.

Her breath hitched at the sight of Sofi’s lifeless form on the bed . She covered her mouth to stifle a sob, her heart breaking into pieces.

Sofi's clothes were in disarray, her hair tangled  The faint streak of blood on the sheets and the bruises on her wrists painted a story that made Ella’s stomach churn.

gently shaking Sofi’s shoulder. "Sofi, wake up," Ella whispered, her voice trembling with panic. But Sofi didn’t stir.

Ella shook her again, more urgently this time. "Sofi, please, wake up!" she pleaded, her tears falling freely now. But Sofi remained motionless, her face pale, her breathing shallow.

Kian appeared in the doorway, concern etched on his face. "What happened—" he started but stopped as his eyes fell on the bed.

The scene hit him like a bolt of lightning. His knees felt weak, and for a moment, it was as if the ground beneath him had disappeared. His eyes locked on the bloodstained sheets, and a tear slid down his cheek.

"Kian..." Ella called softly, her voice full of pain, but he didn’t respond.

Without a word, he turned and walked out of the room, his world crumbling as he tried to process what he had just witnessed.

---

Ella watched him leave, her heart breaking further. She wanted to go after him but couldn’t bring herself to move. Instead, she sat beside Sofi, her mind racing with questions and fears.

Lucifer stood quietly in the background, his face composed, but a glint of satisfaction flickered in his eyes for a brief moment before he masked it with an expression of worry. "We need to call a doctor," he suggested, his tone calm but commanding, drawing everyone’s attention back to Sofi’s condition.

Author's Note:
I made the conscious decision not to write that scene in detail (you know what I mean) because I felt it wasn’t necessary at this point in the story. Sometimes, leaving things unsaid allows the emotions and implications to speak for themselves. I believe this approach conveys the impact without overshadowing the narrative .
