"Sofi!" Ella called again, shaking her gently, her heart hammering in her chest. But Sofi remained still—her breathing was faint, her face pale.
Tears blurred Ella’s vision. “Why isn’t she waking up?” she cried, gripping Sofi’s hand tightly.
“I’ll call the doctor,” Lucifer said, already reaching for his phone.
But before he could dial, Ella’s father’s phone rang. He answered, and his expression shifted in an instant—his face drained of color, his grip on the phone tightening.
"What?" he whispered in shock.
Lucifer frowned. "What happened?"
Ella’s father hesitated, his throat dry. Then he finally spoke. "Kian called off the wedding."
Ella’s breath hitched. “What?” She shot up from her spot, disbelief hitting her like a slap. “How can he do this?”
Her heart pounded wildly, her mind reeling.
“You stay with her. I’ll stop him,” Lucifer said, his voice firm.
Without waiting, he strode out with Ella’s parents, leaving her behind. She collapsed back onto the floor beside Sofi, gripping her unconscious Sofi’s hand.
"Sofi… please wake up," she whispered.
But Sofi remained unmoving, trapped in the silence of her unconscious state. A tear slipped down Ella’s cheek. She had no idea how Sofi would react when she woke up—would she cry? Break apart? Or would she simply shut down, unable to comprehend the cruelty that had just been thrown at her?
—
Meanwhile, at the wedding hall, Kian was already making his way to the exit, his posture rigid, his jaw clenched.
“Kian, stop!” Ella’s father called out, blocking his path.
Kian exhaled sharply, his patience wearing thin. “Uncle, move.”
Her mother stepped forward, desperation coating her voice. “How can you do this to Sofi? She’ll be heartbroken when she finds out!”
Kian’s laugh was hollow, almost mocking. “Then she should have been more careful. How could she let something like this happen?”
Ella’s mother gasped, her face twisting in disbelief. “It’s not her fault!”
Kian’s eyes darkened. “It is.” His voice was sharp, unwavering. “She was giving me signs—pulling away from me . I should have known something was wrong.”
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. “What signs?”
Kian scoffed. “She kept telling me to be content with her pictures. Like that was all I would ever have.”
A voice cut through the tension. “You’re still stuck on that?” Ella stepped forward, her voice shaking with anger.
Kian turned to face her, his gaze cold. “Because it makes sense. Whoever did this to her must have been someone who loved her—someone who couldn’t bear to see her become someone else’s. If Sofi truly had no connection to him, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Ella’s nails dug into her palms. “Kian, where are you taking this?”
He let out a breath, as if everything had finally settled in his mind. “I don’t care. From today, there’s nothing between Sofi and me.”
Ella stared at him, feeling like she had been slapped. “So all your love, all your promises meant nothing?”
His expression didn’t waver. “They did.” His voice was cold, distant. “I loved her, yes. But I told her from the start—I wouldn’t tolerate anyone else’s hands on her. The thought of someone else touching her disgusts me. ” His fists clenched. “I can’t do this marriage.”
Lucifer scoffed, his patience snapping. “Fine. Go.”
Ella turned to him in shock. “Lucifer—”
Lucifer’s jaw was tight, his eyes burning with rage. “Go all you want, Kian. But I don’t want to hear a single word against Sofi.”
Kian’s lips curled bitterly. “Keep your Sofi to yourself.” Without another word, he turned and walked out of the wedding hall.
Ella felt something crack inside her. Her hands trembled, her mind trying to process what had just happened.
Lucifer turned to her, his voice sharp. “Were you going to beg him to stay?”
She opened her mouth, but no words came out.
“Enough.” His tone was final. “Sofi deserves better. She doesn’t deserve a man who would throw her away just because she’s been ‘touched.’”
Ella swallowed hard, her throat burning.
...
They called the doctor, who quickly arrived and began treating Sofi.
After carefully examining her, the doctor administered some medication and checked her vitals. Ella stood nearby, her hands clenched into fists, anxiety eating away at her.
As soon as the doctor finished, Ella stepped forward, her voice trembling. “How is she? Why isn’t she waking up?”
The doctor sighed “She has been heavily drugged.”
Ella’s heart sank. “Is she going to be alright?” she asked, fear evident in her eyes.
The doctor gave a reassuring nod. “She will recover, but she needs time… and she needs you all by her side.”
Ella swallowed hard, glancing at Sofi’s pale face.
The doctor packed up her things and gave a final glance at the worried faces around the room. “Take care of her. She needs love and support more than anything right now.”
With that, the doctor left, leaving Ella staring at Sofi, silently promising to stay by her side no matter what.
.......
It been while since doctor left , but sofi was still unconscious.
Sofi wake up please, you are scaring me " ella said .
Sofi stirred
Sofi " ella called , a relief on her face .
Sofi's body aching as she slowly sat up. A dull throbbing in her head made her wince. As her vision cleared, she noticed Ella sitting beside her, watching her with concern.
“Why…?” Sofi’s voice was hoarse as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. Her breath hitched when she realized her wedding dress was gone, replaced by a simple gown.
Confusion clouded her mind. She opened her mouth to ask something, but before she could, a flashback hit her—a pair of rough hands grabbing her, inhaling her something and then… darkness.
Her heart pounded as she turned toward Ella.
“Ella…” Sofi whispered, her voice shaky. “What happened?”
Ella’s expression faltered, but she remained silent.
Sofi’s panic grew. “Ella, answer me!” She tried to move closer, but a sharp pain shot through her body, making her gasp.
“Stay still, Sofi,” Ella said softly, reaching out to steady her.
Sofi clutched her stomach, trying to ease the pain. As she moved her hands, her eyes fell on her wrists—bruises. Dark, deep bruises covered her pale skin.
Her breath caught in her throat.
“What happened to me, Ella? I’m asking you something.” Sofi’s voice trembled.
Ella’s lips parted, but she hesitated. When she finally spoke, her voice was barely a whisper.
“Someone… raped you.”
Sofi froze, her mind refusing to process the words.
She shook her head rapidly, her breaths coming out uneven. “No… it can’t be true.”
Ella’s eyes welled up. “I’m so sorry, Sofi.”
Sofi let out a hollow laugh, her disbelief evident. “It’s not funny, Ella. Stop lying! Who would do this to me?”
Ella swallowed hard. “I wish I was lying. If only I hadn’t left you alone… this wouldn’t have happened. I’m so sorry.”
Sofi’s chest tightened. A fresh wave of tears blurred her vision. Her lips trembled as she whispered, “Does Kian know?”
Ella lowered her gaze, unable to meet Sofi’s desperate eyes.
“Tell me, Ella! He knows, right?” Sofi’s voice cracked.
After a long silence, Ella nodded. “Yes.”
Sofi gasped, covering her mouth with her trembling hands. The pain in her chest became unbearable as sobs wracked her body.
Ella immediately pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly. “I’m sorry sofi , I'm so sorry ”
Sofi couldn’t stop crying.
Minutes turned into hours, and she was still crying, her body shaking violently.
Ella watched helplessly, unable to bear seeing her like this. She felt utterly powerless.
Taking a deep breath, she stood up and stepped out of the room, her heart heavy.
.....
He was standing outside when Ella stepped out of the room.
"Is she okay?" Lucifer asked as soon as he saw her.
Ella sighed, her expression heavy with sadness. "She just keeps crying," she replied.
Lucifer's jaw tightened. "Did you ask her if she knows who did this?"
Ella shook her head. "No... I couldn’t gather the courage to ask her," she admitted.
Lucifer exhaled sharply. "Ella, we have to find out who it was. Only then can we get justice for Sofi."
Ella hesitated before nodding. "She won’t tell me anything… but she tells you everything. Maybe she’ll open up to you."
Lucifer considered her words for a moment, then gave a firm nod. "Okay, I'll ask her."
Ella glanced around. "I’ll go check on Mom and Dad."
"Go," Lucifer said, watching her walk away before turning toward Sofi’s room.
......
After Ella left, Lucifer made his way into Sofi’s room. She was sitting on the bed, her body trembling as soft sobs escaped her lips.
He walked over and sat beside her. “Sofi, stop crying. You’ll fall ill at this rate,” he said gently.
But instead of stopping, her cries grew louder.
Lucifer sighed. “Won’t you listen to your Luci?” he asked, trying to comfort her.
She didn’t answer. She just kept crying, lost in her pain.
Lucifer watched her for a while before speaking again. “Can I ask you something?”
Sofi didn’t respond, but he pushed further. “Did you see his face? I mean… whoever he was?”
Sofi shook her head, her body shivering. “No… before I could see his face, my vision blurred,” she whispered, her voice breaking.
Lucifer exhaled, his expression unreadable. A smirk ghosted over his lips, but he quickly hid it.
He got closer to her “Shhh, Sofi… it’s okay,” he said, rubbing her back lightly.
Sofi suddenly looked at him, her tear-filled eyes searching his. “What did Kian say?” she asked hesitantly.
Lucifer clenched his jaw. “He left,” he admitted. “He called off the wedding.”
Sofi’s breath hitched. A fresh wave of tears spilled down her cheeks as she broke down completely.
“Sofi…” Lucifer pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. “Shh… stop crying,” he whispered.
But she couldn’t stop. Her sobs only deepened, her entire world shattering around her.
Lucifer held her close, his mind racing with thoughts.
.......
The night was still, the silence thick with unspoken words. Sofi lay asleep, her face illuminated only by the pale moonlight spilling through the window. Her breath was steady, but the dried streaks of tears on her cheeks betrayed her unrest.
He was still beside her , His eyes roamed over her fragile form, lingering on the evidence of her sorrow. A faint smirk curled his lips, but it quickly faded as he leaned in, close enough to feel the warmth of her breath.
His fingers brushed against her cheek, his touch deceptively gentle. "I'm sorry, Sofi, for breaking you like this… but I had to." His voice was quiet, steady—void of remorse, yet laced with something almost tender.
He let out a soft sigh, tilting his head as if lost in thought. It was too late to come up with a different plan to stop your marriage. I could have arranged an accident for him, could have done something to make him disappear. But that wouldn’t have stopped you from loving him.His jaw tightened, his fingers twitching as they hovered over her skin. I needed something bigger… something that would end this forever
He chuckled darkly, shaking his head. I know how Kian always tried to keep you hidden, always stopped you from going out without him. I could see it—how he was saving you, keeping you untouched for himself. He didn’t want anyone else’s hands on you. That was his weakness. And I used it against him.
He exhaled slowly, watching for any sign of movement. I knew that if something like this happened to you, he would never accept you. Not just him… but anyone who found out. No one would accept you.He smiled bitterly. And that was the only way to make sure you were mine.
His fingers ghosted over her lips before he pulled back, his expression unreadable. I didn’t want to do this, you know.He let out a slow breath, shaking his head. At first, I thought I’d just make it look real, something to scare him away… but I lost control. His voice remained calm, almost distant, as if he were merely stating facts. I’m sorry for breaking you like this, Sofi.
A single tear slipped from her closed eyes. He caught it with his thumb, his expression softening. Don’t cry. He wiped it away gently. You don’t need anyone else. I’m enough for you.
He sighed, his fingers trailing down her arm. If only you had told me before fixing your marriage with him, I would have taken care of him long ago. But you didn’t.His voice darkened, resentment creeping in. You told Ella… not me. He clenched his jaw, the memory fueling his anger. You never hid anything from me before. So why this ? .
His fists tightened at the thought. If you had married him, he would have taken you far away from me, wouldn’t he? And I couldn’t let that happen. His lips twisted into something between a smirk and a sneer. Just like him, I can’t stand the thought of you with someone else.
His gaze softened as he traced the outline of her face with his fingers. You may hate me now, Sofi. But one day, when you realize I did all of this to save our love, you’ll understand. You’ll understand me… I know you will. My doll always does.
He leaned in, pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead. Rest now. It’s been a hectic day for you.
Before leaving, he stood by the door for a moment, watching her one last time. His expression unreadable, his presence lingering even after he was gone.
