Chapter 6

"Sofi!" Lucifer shouted, his breath catching in his throat.

His desperate cry echoed through the house, sharp enough to make everyone turn toward him.

Outside the Room

Ella, who had been talking outside, froze when she heard Lucifer's voice. A chill ran down her spine.

"What?" she gasped, immediately rushing toward the direction of the scream.

Her father, hearing the commotion, turned in alarm. "What happened?" he asked, walking toward her.

"I don't know," Ella said hurriedly, already moving.

Without wasting another second, they both ran toward the room.

...

Sofi was barely conscious, her body swaying dangerously as if she were moments away from collapsing. Her breathing was shallow, her skin pale, and her wrist-bleeding.

She couldn't sit up on her own. The strength had completely left her body.

Lucifer caught her just in time, his arms wrapping around her . Without hesitation, he lifted her and gently her on the bed.

His voice cracked with pain as he cupped her cold face. "Sofi, what have you done?"

Her eyelids fluttered weakly. "Sofi!" he called again, trying to keep her awake.

Ella and Her Parents Enter

"Sofi!" Ella screamed, her heart pounding as she saw the deep cut on her wrist. The sight made her blood run cold.

She ran to her sister's side, dropping to her knees beside the bed. "Sofi!" she pleaded, shaking her gently.

Her father arrived right behind her, eyes widening in horror.

Lucifer turned to Ella, his voice laced with fury. "Why did you leave her alone? I told you to stay with her!"

Ella swallowed hard, guilt washing over her. "I was only gone for a little while," she tried to explain.

"In that little while, look what she did!" Lucifer snapped, his anger raw and unforgiving.

Ella flinched at his sharp tone, tears welling in her eyes." I'm sorry "she said looking toward sofi as if begging for forgiveness.

Lucifer focus was on Sofi, on the blood seeping from her wrist. "Bring something! We need to stop the bleeding!" he barked.

"I'll get it!" Ella said quickly, standing up and rushing out of the room.

Lucifer turned back to Sofi, his grip tightening around her cold fingers. "Sofi, stay with me. Stay conscious!" His voice was low, desperate.

Her father looked at him grimly. "We need to take her to the hospital before it's too late."

Lucifer's jaw clenched.

No.

Without hesitation, he scooped Sofi into his arms, holding her tightly in a bridal carry.

Ella came running back, clutching a cloth to wrap around Sofi's wrist.

Lucifer stood in front of her . His eyes flickered to her, dark with anger. "I won't forgive you if anything happens to Sofi," he warned, his voice laced with venom.

Ella froze, the weight of his words hitting her like a blow.

He walked past her without another glance, heading straight for the door.

Ella just stood there, gripping the cloth in her trembling hands, watching him disappear with Sofi.

Her father stepped beside her and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't take it to heart," he said gently. "He's just worried."

Ella swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded.

"Let's go," her father said.

Without another word, she followed him, her heart heavy with guilt.

........

Lucifer rushed out of the house, his heart pounding in his chest. Without wasting a second, he carefully helped Sofi into the passenger seat, making sure she was secure.

Her head lolled slightly to the side, her skin pale, her breathing uneven.

He clenched his jaw, his hands tightening into fists for a moment before he hurried to the driver's side.

As soon as he sat down, he turned to look at her. "I won't let anything happen to you, Sofi," he whispered, his voice filled with both determination and fear.

He barely gave himself time to breathe before starting the car. The tires screeched against the road as he sped away, his grip on the steering wheel tight.

---

"Lucifer!" Ella called as she ran out, her breath ragged.

But he already left.

She barely caught a glimpse of his car disappearing down the road, taking Sofi with him.

A heavy weight settled in her chest. I didn't mean for this to happen, guilt lacing her voice.

Before she could spiral further, her father's car pulled up beside her.

"Get in, Ella," he said firmly, unlocking the door.

she climbed into the passenger seat, slamming the door shut.

Her father pressed down on the accelerator, his eyes focused on the road ahead as they followed Lucifer's car through the night.

.......

Ella's dad was following Lucifer's car, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. The headlights illuminated the dark road ahead, but the tension inside the car was heavier than the night itself.

Ella sat silently in the passenger seat, but her tears wouldn't stop falling.

Her hands trembled in her lap as her mind spiraled into guilt.

"Both times... I was the one responsible," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Memories flashed in her mind like cruel reminders. Last time, too, I left her alone, and that happened. And now... this.

Her breathing became uneven, chest tightening as she struggled to hold back sobs.

Please, Sofi, don't die. The silent plea echoed in her mind, desperation clawing at her heart. I will never forgive myself. I will die with this guilt if anything happens to you.

Her father glanced at her, concern flashing in his eyes. As if sensing the storm raging inside her, he reached over and placed a firm yet gentle hand over hers.

Gripping it slightly, he spoke in a soothing voice. "Don't blame yourself, Ella."

She lowered her head, her sobs finally breaking free, their sound raw and full of pain.

Her father didn't say anything more-he just held her hand, offering silent comfort as they drove through chasing the car that carried Sofi's fading life.

...

Lucifer's eyes flickered toward Sofi, his heart pounding as he tried to keep her conscious.

"Sofi," he called, his voice trembling.

His hand found her wrist just above the deep cut, but his stomach twisted when he realized-he had taken too long. Blood had already pooled on the car floor, staining everything in its path.

Panic surged through him.

With a sharp inhale, he tightened his grip on the wheel and pressed down on the accelerator, breaking every traffic signal in his path.

"I won't let anything happen to you," he whispered with fierce determination, his voice almost a vow.

.......

The car screeched to a stop in front of the emergency entrance. Lucifer didn't waste a second-he threw open the door, rushed to Sofi's side, and carefully lifted her into his arms.

He ran inside, his voice urgent. "Doctor! Someone help!"

nurses rushed forward with a stretcher. Lucifer laid Sofi onto it, his hands reluctantly letting go of her limp body.

A doctor quickly approached. "What happened?"

"She cut her wrist," Lucifer said, his voice hoarse.

The doctor's expression darkened as he checked her wrist, then pressed two fingers against her neck to check her pulse.

"We need to act fast," the doctor said.

They immediately rushed her into the operation room.

Lucifer moved to follow, but a nurse stepped in front of him, blocking his way. "Stay here," she instructed firmly.

Lucifer clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. He didn't want to leave her side, but he had no choice.

Just then, the others arrived-Ella and her parents

Lucifer barely acknowledged them. His eyes stayed locked on the operation room doors, his chest rising and falling with uneven breaths.

Lucifer's Desperation

His thoughts spiraled.

I'm sorry, Sofi. Please, please come back to me. I never thought you would end up doing this.

The words screamed in his mind, but there was nothing he could do.

He started pacing, unable to sit still. The fear of losing her clawed at his chest, suffocating him. No matter how much he tried to convince himself she would be fine, the panic wouldn't leave.

Every minute that passed felt like an eternity.

Then, finally, the doors to the operating room swung open.

Lucifer was the first to move. "How is she?" he asked the doctor, his voice urgent.

The doctor exhaled. "She needs a blood transfusion immediately."

Lucifer stepped forward. "Take mine. Take all of it, but save her."

"What's your blood type?" the doctor asked.

"AB-negative," Lucifer replied without hesitation.

The doctor's expression fell. "She's O-positive . Your blood won't be compatible."

Before Lucifer could react, Ella stepped forward. "My blood is O-positive," she said firmly. "I'll give her mine."

The doctor nodded. "Come with me."

Without another word, Ella followed him into the blood donation room.
........

Time dragged on.

There was still no news about Sofi.

The tension in the room was suffocating. Everyone kept pacing, their worried gazes darting toward the operation room doors.

Lucifer's hands were clenched so tightly. Every passing second felt like torture.

Then, suddenly, a familiar face appeared-a servant from their house, the same one whose phone Sofi had used to call Kian.

She hesitated before stepping toward Ella, leaning in to whisper something in her ear.

Ella's eyes widened in shock. "What?" she gasped.

Her father, noticing her reaction, frowned. "What happened?"

Ella turned to him, disbelief clouding her face. "It was Kian... he provoked her to take this step."

The moment those words left her lips, Lucifer's entire body went rigid.

His jaw tightened. His eyes darkened.

And then, for the first time , his fear melted away-replaced by a silent, burning rage.

Author's Note:

I'm honestly glad Lucifer didn't call Sofi "doll" in this scene. 😅 Lol.

Now, wish me luck! I'm heading toward the stepdad's part, and I really hope to write a chapter that's worth it. Fingers crossed! 🤞🔥
