The psychiatrist and Chase entered the office quietly. Petal sat there, still trembling, her mind spinning after what she had just witnessed. The haunting images were too close to what she had been seeing in her nightmares for so long.
The psychiatrist took a seat across from her, his voice calm but firm. "Petal, I've been observing you closely, and I can't help but notice-what you saw earlier was almost identical to what Chase 've described in your nightmares."
Petal looked at him, her eyes wide, struggling to find words. "It was really me... Why did he do that to me? Who is he?"
The psychiatrist leaned forward slightly. "We'll get those answers, but we need your cooperation. If you agree to continue with the treatment, we can start unlocking these memories, Petal."
Petal turned her head towards Chase, her eyes searching for reassurance. He gave her a slow, steady nod.
" will I remember him?" Petal asked, her voice shaking.
"Yes, you will," the psychiatrist assured her. "That's the goal-to help you remember, but in a way that doesn't overwhelm you like these nightmares have."
"What if..." Petal hesitated, "what if it's all fake? My dad said none of this is real."
The psychiatrist's expression softened, but he kept his tone professional. "We'll uncover that too. Whether it's real or not, your mind holds the truth, and we'll piece it together step by step."
Petal looked down at her hands, her fingers trembling slightly. "So... what now?"
The psychiatrist continued, "This time, I'd like us to trigger a positive memory with this man. You've only seen him in your nightmares so far, and that's why he terrifies you. But if we explore other parts of your memory, we might find something different-something that could help you truly understand who he is."
Petal's gaze drifted back to Chase. His presence grounded her, even when everything else felt chaotic. He simply gave her another silent nod, his eyes encouraging her to take the leap.
After a moment of silence, she exhaled deeply, her mind still buzzing with doubt and fear, but something in her decided to trust the process. "Okay," she whispered. "I'll give it one more try."
......
Maya and William were talking on the phone, concerned about Petal and the recent murders in their town.
"William, Petal has been asking about you every day. She misses you terribly," Maya said, her voice tinged with worry.
"I know. It's not like I want to stay away from her. I'd never do that, you know that," William sighed, running a hand through his hair, frustration evident on his face.
Maya nodded, but there was a hint of doubt in her voice. "She's starting to feel like you're distancing yourself from her, William. She told me as much."
William leaned forward, his face serious. "I would never intentionally pull away from her. It's just... complicated right now."
"I saw it, William. The news. The latest murder. Is it true? Is it really him?" Maya asked, her concern deepening.
"No... I don't think it's him. It feels like a copycat. The police said everything is eerily similar-the killings, the pattern-but I don't know what kind of sick game this is," William replied, his brow furrowed in thought.
"What do you mean by that? What kind of game?" Maya asked, trying to grasp the gravity of the situation.
"I don't know if it's just in my head or if I'm connecting the wrong dots, but... every time I think about going to see Petal, another murder happens. It's like he-whoever he is-is trying to keep me away from her," William said, hoping whatever he was thinking was just coincidence.
"Are you saying you think the killer knows about Petal? That he's doing this on purpose?" Maya asked, her voice rising slightly in alarm.
"I don't know, Maya. But it feels too coincidental. Every time I talk about coming back to her, another murder surfaces. It's almost as if he's making sure I stay away," William said, his anxiety mounting.
"Did you notice anything strange around Petal? Anyone suspicious?" William asked, searching for any clues.
"No, nothing," Maya replied, shaking her head.
"That's what worries me the most. What if we're missing something?" William said, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Petal hasn't left the house, William. Except today... she went to watch a movie with Chase," Maya replied
"Please, Maya. Keep an eye on her. I'll try to come by as soon as I can," William urged, his worry palpable.
Maya nodded, determination set on her face. "I will. She needs us."
"What about her nightmares? Are they still the same?" William asked, his heart sinking at the thought of Petal's struggles.
"Yeah, they're still haunting her," Maya said, her voice softening with empathy.
"I hate being so far from her when she's going through this," William admitted, frustration creeping into his tone.
"Please, Maya. Stay with her all the time," he said, desperation leaking through.
"I'm with her in spirit, always. And sometimes, Chase helps too. He's been good at handling things when I'm not there," Maya reassured him, trying to lighten his burden.
"Doesn't Chase ever ask what's really going on with her?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued.
"No... strangely, he doesn't. I would've thought he'd push for answers, but he seems content just being with her," Maya replied
"He's closer to her than I am these days. Whenever he comes over, it's like I'm not even there. They just talk and laugh... like they have their own little world. It wouldn't be wrong to say she's closer to him than she is to me," Maya said
"I'm glad she has someone like Chase. I really am. But we can't let our guard down," William said, his voice firm.
"And the medicine? You're still giving it to her?" he asked, seeking reassurance.
"Yes. But I'm not sure it's enough," Maya admitted, her voice wavering.
"I need to talk to her soon, but... I don't know when," William said, frustration building within him.
"You should." Maya urged
"I know. I'll try to call her," William promised, his resolve strengthening.
Before Maya could say anything else, someone called William.
"I need to go, Maya," William said, his tone shifting to urgency. "But Maya... please, take care of Petal. I'll try to come by at least once. She needs us to be strong for her."
"I will, William. Just talk to her. She's feeling so lost without you," she replied, her voice full of concern.
With a deep breath, he gave her a nod and cut the call, his mind racing with thoughts of Petal and the weight of their situation.
As he stared at his phone, a sense of helplessness washed over him. He wished he could be there for her, to reassure her that everything would be okay.
.....
The psychiatrist sits across from her, speaking in a calm, measured tone as she reclines, eyes closed, starting to drift into the
"Take a deep breath. Relax. Let go of everything around you... You're safe here. Now, I want you to imagine yourself standing in front of a door. The door where everything began. The one you were too afraid to open before." Psychiatrist said
She stirs slightly, her breathing deepening, her body visibly tensing at the thought.
"It's okay. There's nothing to fear. You're in control. All you need to do is take a step forward and reach for the handle. Can you see it?"he reassured her .
Her fingers twitch, as if reaching out to touch something invisible. Her voice is shaky.
"I see it... but... I'm scared." She said
"I know. But remember, you're in a safe space. Nothing can hurt you. Just reach out and open the door... " he said
She hesitates, her brow furrowing as her hand moves slightly, mimicking the action of opening a door.
"Open it. When you do, you'll feel lighter. You'll let go of that fear. You're ready." He said
Her hand slowly opens, her breathing quickens but then steadies. Her face relaxes as she mentally opens the door.
"Good... You've done it. Now, I'm passing the lead of this journey over to someone who will guide you further." He said .
The psychiatrist subtly gestures to Chase, who steps forward, his voice deeper, more commanding but still gentle.
"You're doing great. Now, look through the door. What do you see?" Chase said
Her voice trembles slightly as she speaks.
"It's... dark." She said
"That's okay. Darkness is just another space waiting to be filled. Take a step forward. Feel the ground beneath you. You're safe. Can you walk through?"he asked
She nods slightly, her body shifting as though she's moving forward mentally.
"Each step you take brings you closer to clarity. Closer to understanding. You're not alone in this. I'm right here with you. Keep walking. What do you feel now?" He said guiding her
Her voice is soft, almost hesitant.
"It's cold... but familiar."She said
"Good. Keep moving forward. Now, as you walk deeper into the room, you'll start to feel that coldness fade away. You're reclaiming this space. It no longer controls you. Can you feel that?" He asked
She nods again, her breathing steadying, tension easing from her body.
"You're in control. Now, look around. What do you see? What's changed?" He asked
"It's... brighter. There's light." She said
Chase's voice deepens, still calm, but there's a new intensity to it as he guides her deeper into the hypnosis.
"Now, as the light fills the room, you're no longer afraid. The fear that once gripped you has melted away. Look around again... what do you see now?" he asked softly
Her breathing is soft and steady. Her face shows no fear, just a growing sense of calm and contentment.
"It's the same room... but different. It's warm. Safe." she said
"That's right. This room isn't a prison anymore. It's a place of love, a place where you belong. You're not alone here... He's with you." He said , it was time of real game his manipulation to begin .
She started getting afraid .
"Don't be afriad he is not here to hurt you"he said .
" he is not bad , he is your lover, who loves you unconditionally , you are longing for him, see him see him clearly "he said .
Her expression softens, and a smile touches her lips as she begins to picture him. The man who once filled her with fear is now someone she longs for. She sees him clearly in her mind, waiting for her.
"Step closer to him. Can you see him now? Feel his presence. He's waiting for you with full of love " He said
Her face lights up, a soft sigh escapes her lips as she imagines walking toward him. In her mind, she sees him standing in the center of the room, his eyes full of love and tenderness.
"I see him..." she said
"Good. You're not afraid anymore. Now, let him take you in his arms."he said
The air around her changes, and in her mind, she's no longer alone in the cold, dark room. Instead, she's wrapped in his arms, the man she's come to love. His hand is firm on her waist, the other entwined with hers as they begin to sway gently, as if dancing to music only they can hear.
" his touch is gentle, you are safe" he said .
" how is his touch?" He asked .
"His touch... it's so gentle. I'm safe." she said
"You're more than safe. You're loved. Look at him. What do you see in his eyes?, you see love , he loves you " he started
Her smile widens as she tilts her head up, imagining his gaze meeting hers, full of adoration.
"Love. He loves me. He's always loved me." She said .
In her mind, the cold, dark room has transformed into a beautiful, intimate space. The walls are bathed in warm, golden light, casting a soft glow over everything. There is no fear here-only peace, love, and the feeling of being held in the arms of the man she adores. They are standing close, their bodies swaying to an invisible melody, as if the world has melted away, leaving only the two of them.
She looks up at him, his face tender as he gazes down at her. His hand rests gently on her waist, the other entwined with hers, and their movements are slow, effortless, as they dance together. The connection between them is undeniable, magnetic. Her heart flutters in her chest, not from fear, but from the overwhelming warmth of being so close to him.
"You love me... I can feel it. You've always loved me." She said
He pulls her even closer, their bodies fitting together perfectly, as if they were made for each other. His voice is soft, but there's an undeniable intensity in his tone as he speaks.
"I do. I love you more than life itself. I always have, and I always will. You're mine, and I'm yours." He said
Her breath catches, and she leans into him, her head resting against his chest. The rhythm of their bodies stays in perfect harmony, moving together as if they've been dancing like this forever. She closes her eyes for a moment, feeling the warmth of his embrace, his heartbeat steady beneath her cheek.
He twirls her gently, never breaking the connection between them. She laughs softly as they move, the sound of her joy filling the room. When she faces him again, his eyes are burning with passion, and he grips her hand tighter, his voice filled with a fierce, protective love.
"You'll never leave me. You're mine forever." He said
She looks up at him, her heart full of certainty. There's no hesitation, no doubt. Her voice is soft, but her words carry the weight of her devotion.
"Never. I would never leave you. I'm yours, always." She said
His smile is full of relief, as if her words have anchored him. He tightens his hold around her waist, pulling her so close that there's no space left between them. Their foreheads press gently against each other, their breaths mingling in the soft light of the room.
"We belong to each other." He said
She nods, her heart racing in time with his. Her love for him radiates through every fiber of her being, and as she gazes into his eyes, there's nothing but the feeling of deep, unshakable connection.
"I'm yours, always."She said
As they continue to sway, their love wraps around them like a warm, comforting blanket. They are completely lost in each other, their movements gentle and fluid, as if they are the only two people in the world.
The room, once dark and cold, is now filled with light and warmth. Their laughter echoes softly as they continue their slow, intimate dance, lost in the magic of their love. Time seems to stand still as they hold each other close, their bond unbreakable, eternal.
Whatever she saw wasn't true it was all due to Chase hypnosis he was guiding her on each step telling her details making her , feel , believe everything as he want .
"When you wake up, remember this moment, this love. You will carry it with you always. Now, as I count to three, you will gently return to the present, but this love will remain in your heart. One... two... three."he said.
.....
Petal lies motionless on the couch, her body limp and her eyes closed, still under the deep trance of hypnosis. The room is dim, the soft hum of the air conditioning the only sound-except for Chase's obsessive whispers.
He's sitting beside her, his gaze locked onto her peaceful face, his hand tightly wrapped around hers.
"Just like this, I'll make every moment we spend together beautiful for you." He said softly to her .
His free hand gently brushes her hair away from her face, his fingers lingering on her skin longer than necessary. He leans down, his lips brushing the back of her hand with a soft kiss, his eyes dark with desire.
"I could've told you from the start that it would be me performing the hypnosis. But no... it was too sOon. You haven't started doubting your father yet, haven't you? If I told you, you might have questioned me, doubted me. And couldn't risk that. So I made it look like this session was his idea, and that my friend would be the one in charge. Clever, right?" Chase said smiling his voice dripping with obsession.
He chuckles, his eyes roaming over her still form, a strange satisfaction lighting up his face.
"He's capable, sure. But no one knows what's best for you like I do. No one understands you like do. That's why had to be the one. I wanted to be the one. I've learned so much just for this moment. I never imagined how useful hypnosis would be until now." He whispered near her ear , his voice low and possessive .
He leans closer, kissing her forehead tenderly, but with a twisted sense of possession, as if she belongs to him entirely.
"You'll remember everything soon, even-the bad stuff, the pain. But you'll see it differently, you'll love it. You'll love me for it. Everything that's happened between us, Petal, is part of our story. And I'll make sure you cherish every part of it, especially me. Only me." His voice was filled with pride .
He strokes her cheek, watching her intently as if waiting for her to react, but she remains still, lost in the trance. His hand trembles slightly as he cups her face, his eyes flickering with madness.
"You'll never escape me, Petal. I won't let you. I'll always be in your mind, your thoughts, your dreams. You'll remember it all, and when you do, you'll fall even more deeply for me. I'm going to make Sure of that" his voice dark and tender
His breathing quickens, and he leans in once more, his lips grazing the back of her hand again, this time with a lingering, possessive kiss. His grip on her hand tightens, as if she might slip away if he let go.
"No one will ever take you from me. No one. You're mine, Petal, and soon, you'll realize it too. Everything we've been through, every moment, every touch, you'll see it all and love it, just as I do. I'm not letting you go. Sure of that" his obsession lacking every word.
He sits back, admiring her as if she's a precious piece of art, something he owns. His eyes flicker with a dangerous intensity, his thoughts consumed by her, his mind lost in his delusion.
"You'lI see soon enough. You'll understand. And when you do, you'll never want to leave me again." He said softly almost to himself.
He leans down one final time, pressing another kiss to her hand, lingering longer this time, his lips warm and possessive against her skin.
"You're mine, Petal. And I'll make sure you never forget it." He stays there, holding her hand, watching her breathe, every second spent with her feeding his twisted obsession.
