Victor adjusted his white coat, as he strode toward the room. The faint murmur of whispers outside had turned into a deafening silence . The tension in the air was palpable, with Adrian pacing back and forth, his expression grim. The nurses exchanged anxious glances, their usual composure replaced with worry.
“Victor,” Adrian called
Victor raised an eyebrow. “What’s the situation?”
Adrian gestured toward the patient lying on the hospital bed. “It’s the new patient—Elena. She was given a strong dose of some drug . The toxicology report shows the drug’s effects have worn off, but she’s still not responding ” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I think she’s gone into shock. Her vitals are stable, but mentally... she’s not responding.”
Victor’s eyes shifted toward the bed, and for a moment, he stood frozen. The world around him seemed to blur as his gaze locked onto her. Elena. Her delicate features were framed by tousled dark hair, her pale skin almost translucent under the harsh hospital lights. She looked fragile—like a porcelain doll that could shatter with a single touch.
“She’s... beautiful,” Victor muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible.
“What?” Adrian asked, glancing at him.
Victor shook his head, snapping out of his trance. “Nothing. I’ll take over her case.”
Adrian hesitated. “Are you sure?”
“I’m the best suited for this,” Victor said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Adrian nodded reluctantly. “Fine. I’ll leave her to you. Keep me updated.”
As Adrian left the room, Victor pulled up a chair and sat beside Elena. For a moment, he simply stared at her, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts.

Victor’s Thoughts
Victor leaned back in the chair, his fingers steepled under his chin. His eyes remained fixed on Elena’s serene face. She looked so peaceful, so vulnerable. Exactly the kind of person he had always imagined for himself.
Someone younger than me, he thought, a faint smile playing on his lips. Someone innocent, untouched . Someone weaker too weak, someone I can protect... and destroy at the same time.
His heart raced as the twisted fantasies played in his mind. I want someone who needs me—desperately. Someone who can’t survive without me. I’ll be her savior, her protector, her god. But she’ll also know that I’m the one who can break her. Completely.
Victor’s gaze darkened, his lips curving into a possessive smile. “Angel,” he whispered softly, trying the word on his tongue. It felt perfect for her. She looked like an angel.
Victor’s musings were interrupted by a faint stir. Elena’s fingers twitched ever so slightly, and a soft murmur escaped her lips. Victor leaned forward, his heart pounding in anticipation.
“Elena,” he called gently, his voice soft yet commanding.
Her eyelids fluttered, but she didn’t wake. Victor reached out and brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, his touch lingering for a moment longer than necessary.
“You’ll wake soon,” he murmured.
he left the room to prepare for her treatment, a dark satisfaction settled over him. For the first time, Victor felt like he had found the one thing that could truly complete him. And he wasn’t about to let her go.
